Founded in 2025 and operating as a subsidiary of BioTech Social Inc., the Chicago-based platform is a registered member of FINRA (CRD #334156), enabling life science companies to raise up to $5 million annually through Regulation Crowdfunding while maintaining patient-centric, needs-driven investment opportunities.
Under the visionary leadership of Co-Founder and CEO Dr. Neva West, who brings over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience including roles as Global Medical Director at Biogen and extensive work spanning rare diseases to Alzheimer's and obesity, BioTech Funding Portal has pioneered a unique selection process that leverages patient advocacy groups and accelerator programs to ensure every listed therapy addresses genuine patient needs. Dr. West's distinguished background includes a PhD in neuroscience from LSU Health Sciences Center, postdoctoral fellowships at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Lurie Children's Hospital, and patents for novel gene therapy vectors for CNS delivery - experience that uniquely positions her to bridge scientific innovation with accessible funding mechanisms.
What sets BioTech Funding Portal apart is their collaborative ecosystem approach, exemplified by their strategic partnership with Charles River's Incubator Program (CIP) and Accelerator Program (CAP), which helps cell and gene therapy developers cross the notorious funding "valley of death" that threatens innovative early-stage companies. By requiring companies to come with collaborators - whether patient advocacy groups, physicians, or academic institutions - the platform ensures therapies are patient-centric and address validated medical needs. This rigorous vetting process, combined with their focus on helping companies become "funding-ready" through regulatory filing requirements, creates investment opportunities where success benefits not just investors but the patients and physicians whose lives depend on breakthrough therapies reaching the market.
BioTech Funding Portal's mission to transform how clinical research is funded by democratizing access to life science investment perfectly aligns with GECA's vision of borderless crowdfunding. By creating pathways for everyday investors to support innovative science that might otherwise go unfunded despite addressing critical unmet medical needs, the platform exemplifies the inclusive, impact-driven future that GECA champions for democratizing capital access to socially beneficial innovations worldwide.

Investor Activation Solution for Crowdfunded Companies
Overview
Founded by entrepreneur and investor Joey Hayes, thru. is the first investor activation solution designed specifically to help crowdfunded companies navigate the transition from crowdfunding to crowdsourcing. Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, THRU addresses a critical gap in the equity crowdfunding ecosystem: what happens after the capital is raised.
While most of the industry focuses on securing capital, thru. focuses on optimizing the network. The platform helps founders maintain momentum by transforming passive cap tables into active growth engines, turning hundreds of idle investors into strategic contributors who drive business growth.
The Solution
thru. deep-dives into investor lists from platforms like Wefunder, StartEngine, and Republic, identifying high-value connections and coaching founders on effective engagement strategies. Research shows that approximately 20-25% of investors will actively engage when approached properly, with roughly 10% representing high-opportunity contributors who can significantly impact business growth through introductions, strategic advice, customer referrals, and partnership opportunities.
By helping founders view their cap tables as strategic assets rather than static spreadsheets, thru. ensures the investors who funded the company also help it scale. Engaged investors are three times more likely to reinvest, yet most founders never activate these relationships due to exhaustion, lack of planning, or absence of dedicated resources for community management.
Mission
THRU's mission aligns with GECA's vision of borderless crowdfunding ecosystems. As cross-border raises create diverse investor communities spanning multiple countries and cultures, thru. provides the tools and coaching to activate these international networks effectively. The platform is building toward an AI-powered future where founder challenges are detected in real-time and automatically matched with investors best positioned to help.

Brazilian Association of Investment Crowdfunding
Overview
Founded in August 2014, CROWDINVEST (Associação Brasileira de Crowdfunding de Investimento) is Brazil's leading association representing equity crowdfunding platforms authorized by the CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários - Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission). Led by CEO Adolfo Menezes Melito, CROWDINVEST pioneered investment crowdfunding in Brazil, working hand-in-hand with regulators to create one of the world's most advanced and flexible equity crowdfunding frameworks.
The association serves as the representative voice for investment crowdfunding in Brazil, uniting platforms, partner companies, and ecosystem stakeholders committed to facilitating seed investment and strengthening the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Mission & Focus
CROWDINVEST's mission centers on four core pillars:
Dissemination - Promote and disseminate investment crowdfunding through specialized events, case studies, news, and market information
Regulation - Contribute to regulatory development based on security, transparency, and ease of access, maintaining strong ties with CVM and stakeholders
Capital Markets - Expand Brazil's capital market by attracting and engaging
new retail investors
Innovation - Constantly seek new ways to promote entrepreneurship, capital market access, and innovation by bringing together members and partners
Regulatory Achievement
CROWDINVEST's defining accomplishment came through collaboration with CVM to create Brazil's investment crowdfunding regulation (CVM Instruction 588/17), published in July 2017. This groundbreaking framework, carefully crafted through public consultation, brought legal certainty and established one of the most advanced, comprehensive, and flexible equity crowdfunding regulations globally.
Key regulatory features:
• Companies can raise up to R$ 5 million annually (previously R$ 2.4M)
• Annual revenue limit increased to R$ 10 million (previously R$ 3.6M)
• Any company type eligible, including corporations (S.A.)
• Multiple investment vehicles allowed (convertible debt, SPVs, participation contracts)
• Platform registration with CVM (not offering registration)
• Platforms provide annual accountability to CVM
Market Impact
Since 2014, Brazilian investment crowdfunding has evolved from 60 successful offerings raising R$ 20 million pre-regulation to a projected R$ 150-200 million annually within five years. The sector represents approximately 2% of Brazil's R$ 984 million annual angel investment market (2017 data), positioning investment crowdfunding as a powerful ally to professional investors.
CROWDINVEST advocates that retail investor proximity to companies, ability to influence decisions, and identification with entrepreneurial teams create unique motivation beyond traditional stock market participation—addressing why Brazil's equity market (once 600,000+ retail participants) struggled to maintain engagement.
GECA Alignment

Their work establishing security, transparency, and accessibility as regulatory pillars—while maintaining strong ties with Brazil's securities regulator—exemplifies the constructive regulatory engagement GECA champions globally.

Politics - Through active lobbying and a strong network, the association works to make crowdfunding known, widespread, and supported by optimal legislation. They engage policymakers to ensure Danish crowdfunding regulation enables innovation while protecting participants.
Lectures & Events - The association facilitates knowledge-sharing through lectures and events across Denmark, making members smarter by sharing experiences and best practices. Since 2017, they've hosted the Entrepreneurship Ship at Folkemødet (Denmark's annual political festival), presenting over 100 panels focused on Danish entrepreneurship.
Counseling & Advice - The association maintains a network of advisors who provide guidance on crowdfunding outside the association's direct operations, connecting members with expert support when needed.
Advocacy & Education
A central priority is raising awareness of crowdfunding across Denmark. Recognizing that crowdfunding knowledge remains limited, the association takes responsibility - together with members - to spread understanding through consulting, training, and public education initiatives.
The association actively addresses legislative challenges affecting Danish crowdfunding, advocating against over-cautious regulations that slow innovation. Their blog covers political developments, regulatory issues, and industry insights - from equity and loan crowdfunding to donation-based campaigns and EU regulatory harmonization.
Membership Structure
The association welcomes diverse members:
• Private Membership (100 DKK annually)
• Business & Interest Organizations (7,500 DKK annually)
• Crowdfunding Platforms (25,000 DKK annually)
This inclusive structure ensures representation across the entire Danish crowdfunding ecosystem, from individual enthusiasts to major platforms.
GECA Alignment
The Danish Crowdfunding Association's comprehensive approach - covering all crowdfunding types while advocating for balanced, innovation-enabling regulation - aligns perfectly with GECA's mission of borderless, well-regulated crowdfunding ecosystems. Their multi-stakeholder membership model and focus on education, policy engagement, and industry coordination exemplify the collaborative approach GECA champions globally.
As a Nordic representative bringing Denmark's perspective on regulatory harmonization (particularly EU frameworks), the association strengthens GECA's European presence and contributes valuable insights from a market balancing innovation with investor protection. Their work on the Entrepreneurship Ship and commitment to spreading crowdfunding knowledge demonstrates the ecosystem-building leadership essential for cross-border crowdfunding success.

Open Platform for Investor-Led Equity Crowdfunding Due Diligence
Overview
Founded in 2026 in Copenhagen by Michael Eis (Chairman, Danish Crowdfunding Association), Crowddiligence provides structured, transparent, investor-led due diligence reports for equity crowdfunding campaigns worldwide.
The Gap
While equity crowdfunding has democratized access to deals, it hasn't democratized insight. Retail investors lack the professional audits, expert advisors, and pre-deal screening available to institutions- creating three structural challenges:
Information Asymmetry - Founders control narratives; investors rarely access critical risk assessments or comparable data
Lack of Verification - Investors lack time/expertise to verify claims
No Collective Memory - Insights lost after campaigns end
The Solution
Crowddiligence provides a decision layer through structured, peer-reviewed analysis:
Investor-Led - Written by investors, for investors (no platform affiliations)
Structured - Consistent templates (Team, Financials, Legal, Market, Technology)
Transparent - All scores, reasoning, and sources visible
Peer-Reviewed - Findings can be challenged and supplemented
Anti-Manipulation - Investment intent disclosure, bias flagging, audit trails
GECA Alignment
Crowddiligence addresses a critical gap: regulatory frameworks democratize access, but without infrastructure for informed decisions, investor protection remains incomplete.
By providing open, structured, peer-reviewed due diligence independent of platforms, Crowddiligence strengthens ecosystem credibility while protecting investors -supporting GECA's mission of transparent, well-informed borderless markets.

VerdaX is a private investment platform connecting investors with structured Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Europe, offering transparent access to renewable energy infrastructure investments with up to 18% annual returns.
Founded in Estonia and headquartered in Tallinn, VerdaX focuses exclusively on energy storage infrastructure—the critical systems that store renewable energy and support grid stability, generating predictable cash flows through energy market participation and capacity services.
What They Do
VerdaX provides curated BESS investment opportunities with clearly defined terms, transparent payment schedules, and structured return profiles. The platform enables private investors to participate in Europe's energy transition by funding battery storage systems that stabilize renewable energy grids and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.
Each VerdaX project includes:
• Clearly defined funding targets: Investors know exact capital requirements upfront
• Fixed investment terms: Pre-determined project duration with defined exit timelines
• Pre-defined payment schedules: Transparent cash flow timing and distribution structure
• Structured return profiles: Up to 18% annual returns with clear payment mechanisms
Investors receive complete transparency: how much they invest, how long the project runs, when payments are made, and what total return is expected—eliminating the ambiguity often associated with infrastructure investing.
Technology & Platform
VerdaX operates a secure private platform with verified investor access, ensuring only qualified participants can view and invest in projects. The platform provides:
• Transparent dashboard: Real-time tracking of capital deployment, payments, and returns
• Project documentation: Complete access to technical specifications, financial models, revenue contracts
• Secure authentication: Multi-layered account security and verified investor onboarding
• Payment tracking: Automated monitoring of payment schedules and capital return timelines
Investment Model
VerdaX's investment model focuses on structured, predictable infrastructure returns rather than speculative renewable energy projects. Battery Energy Storage Systems generate revenue through:
Energy arbitrage - Storing low-cost renewable energy and selling during high-demand periods
Grid services - Providing frequency regulation, voltage support, and ancillary services to transmission operators
Capacity payments - Long-term contracts with utilities and grid operators for guaranteed availability
This multi-revenue stream approach creates stable, contracted cash flows suitable for structured investment products—exactly what VerdaX offers through its platform.
Why Energy Storage Matters
Battery energy storage is critical infrastructure for Europe's renewable energy transition. As solar and wind power generation increases, grid stability challenges intensify—renewable sources produce intermittently, creating supply-demand mismatches. BESS systems solve this by:
• Storing excess renewable energy when generation exceeds demand
• Releasing stored energy during peak demand or low generation periods
• Providing instantaneous grid balancing services that coal/gas plants historically supplied
• Enabling higher renewable energy penetration without grid instability
The European energy storage market is projected to grow exponentially as countries accelerate decarbonization targets. VerdaX positions investors to capture returns from this infrastructure buildout while supporting climate goals.
Leadership
Gatis Gasuns, CEO and founder of VerdaX, leads the platform's mission to democratize access to energy storage infrastructure investments. Under his leadership, VerdaX has built a transparent, structured investment model that brings institutional-grade renewable energy projects to private investors.
VerdaX BESS OÜ is registered in Estonia (Reg. No: 14950627), operating from Tallinn as a European-focused energy infrastructure investment platform.
Why This Matters for GECA
VerdaX demonstrates how equity crowdfunding principles can scale climate finance—connecting retail investors with renewable energy infrastructure that traditionally required institutional capital minimums.
Their focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems addresses one of the most critical bottlenecks in the energy transition: grid-scale storage enabling renewable energy penetration. By structuring these investments with transparent terms, defined timelines, and clear returns, VerdaX proves that climate infrastructure can deliver both impact and financial performance.
As GECA works toward cross-border crowdfunding coordination, renewable energy projects represent a compelling use case: investors worldwide want climate impact exposure, projects span multiple jurisdictions, and standardized contracts (power purchase agreements, grid service contracts) create comparability across borders.
VerdaX's structured approach—pre-defined payment schedules, transparent dashboards, verified access—exemplifies the investor protection and transparency standards GECA champions. Their model shows how platforms can deliver institutional-grade rigor while maintaining accessibility for private investors.

BERGFÜRST is one of Germany's leading digital real estate investment platforms, pioneering the democratization of professional asset classes through innovative technology and sustainable real assets.
Founded in 2011 by Dr. Guido Sandler and Dennis Bemmann, BERGFÜRST has established itself as Germany's third-largest real estate crowdfunding platform, combining state-of-the-art technology with deep financial expertise and operational agility.
The BERGFÜRST Model
BERGFÜRST enables retail investors to access real estate development projects with investments starting from just €10, offering annual returns between 7.5% and 10%. The platform aggregates multiple small-scale investments into large-scale real estate financing, typically providing mezzanine capital and junior loans to real estate developers.
For borrowers, BERGFÜRST offers standardized access to capital for financing projects. For investors, the platform provides a modern asset class with attractive returns and flexible investment amounts up to €25,000.
Solving the Liquidity Challenge
One of BERGFÜRST's key innovations is its secondary market trading platform, which enables investors to trade their positions before project completion. This addresses one of crowdfunding's most persistent challenges: providing liquidity to investors who need to exit before a project's natural conclusion.
Scale & Impact
Since launching operations in 2013, BERGFÜRST has facilitated over €140 million in investments across 90+ real estate development projects, serving a community of 93,000+ retail investors. The platform processed approximately €40 million in investment volume annually in recent years.
Strong Institutional Backing
BERGFÜRST's credibility is reinforced by its shareholder base: Commerz Real AG (24.9%), Axel Springer SE, and Berliner Volksbank, alongside majority ownership by founder and CEO Dr. Guido Sandler. The company operates under BaFin supervision as a regulated financial services provider.
Leadership
Dr. Guido Sandler (CEO and Chairman) brings extensive financial expertise, including roles as founder and board member of Berliner Effektenbank AG and E*Trade Bank AG, plus experience as a restructuring expert for medium-sized companies. He holds a doctorate from St. Gallen and studied in Münster and Chicago.
Dennis Bemmann (Supervisory Board) served as CTO during BERGFÜRST's formative years. He previously founded studiVZ, which became Germany's most-used website with 17 million active members. He has been supporting technology companies as an investor since 2007.
Mission
BERGFÜRST's stated goal is to sustainably transform the financial industry by democratizing professional investment classes—making real estate development opportunities accessible to retail investors who were previously excluded from this asset class.
Why BERGFÜRST Joined GECA
As a pioneer in digital real estate investment and secondary market infrastructure, BERGFÜRST brings critical expertise to GECA's mission of building borderless equity crowdfunding markets. Their practical experience in providing liquidity, managing large investor communities, and navigating German regulatory frameworks positions them as a valuable contributor to cross-border collaboration discussions.

NYALA Digital Asset AG is a Berlin-based tokenization platform that provides secure, scalable blockchain infrastructure for financial institutions, crowdfunding platforms, and issuers seeking to digitize securities.
Founded in 2019, NYALA has established itself as Germany's pioneer in digital securities, issuing the country's first tokenized bond in 2020 and first tokenized shares in 2024. The platform has facilitated over €160 million in digital assets across 100+ tokenized securities.
The NYALA Solution
NYALA enables issuers to create tokenized bonds, equities, and fund shares in just 5 minutes, bypassing traditional banking intermediaries and dramatically reducing custody and processing costs. The platform's blockchain infrastructure automates investor onboarding, payment distributions, and compliance tracking, making securities issuance fast, cost-effective, and scalable. For crowdfunding platforms, NYALA offers API integration (typically completed in under 2 weeks) that enables seamless tokenization of client offerings. Platforms like Invesdor have issued over €40 million in tokenized bonds through NYALA, serving 6,000+ investors across 50+ assets.
Unlocking Liquidity Through Secondary Markets
NYALA's tokenized securities can be traded on secondary markets, addressing one of crowdfunding's most persistent challenges: investor liquidity. This capability creates additional revenue streams for platforms while enabling investors to exit positions before maturity.
Co-Listing Network
NYALA's co-listing infrastructure enables issuers to distribute their tokenized securities across multiple platforms simultaneously, dramatically expanding investor reach and raising power. This network effect accelerates capital formation while maintaining regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
Regulatory Compliance
NYALA operates in full compliance with Germany's electronic securities act (eWpG) and provides the infrastructure for platforms to meet evolving digital asset regulations across Europe. The company's legal and regulatory expertise ensures that tokenized securities maintain the same legal standing as traditional securities.
Leadership
Daniel Wernicke (Co-CEO) brings management consulting experience from BCG and legal expertise from Bucerius Law School (Hamburg), focusing on strategy and regulatory alignment. Dr. Johannes Schmitt (Co-CEO) previously worked at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange and holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from USC, leading product strategy, sales, and IT expansion. The company's board includes Sarah Gottwald (Managing Director, Blockchain Founders Group), Eric Romba (banking and capital markets legal expert), and Andreas Leckelt (CEO of Comvest Holding AG).
Technology & Integration
NYALA's platform supports multiple asset classes (bonds, equities, funds) and integrates with existing crowdfunding infrastructure via API. The system automates wallet creation, token distribution, and cash payouts through smart contracts, eliminating manual processes and third-party fees.
Major clients include Invesdor (€40M+ in tokenized bonds), CONDA (90+ corporate bonds), Crowd Ukraine (cross-platform share listings), CoinIX (tokenized fund shares), and V-Bank.
Why NYALA Joined GECA
As a pioneer in securities tokenization and cross-platform distribution infrastructure, NYALA brings critical technical expertise to GECA's mission of building borderless equity crowdfunding markets. Crowdpowder is a Dutch boutique equity consultancy that helps companies across Europe transform shares into strategic tools for growth, talent retention, and community engagement through end-to-end equity orchestration.
Founded by Koen Giesbergen and Daniël Donkers, Crowdpowder emerged from observing how traditional equity structures often work against founders - brilliant entrepreneurs giving up too much control, employees excluded from upside, and everyday supporters shut out of ownership opportunities. The firm built a different model: acting as the hands-on orchestrator for every equity journey, coordinating legal experts, technology partners, and marketing professionals so companies can raise capital on their own terms and share value creation broadly.
Crowdpowder positions itself as an "equity product lead" for companies - providing strategy, designing compliant structures, setting up digital environments, crafting investor narratives, and executing campaigns from first draft to closing. Companies retain control and focus on business operations while Crowdpowder translates their vision into future-proof structures, sharp propositions, and tightly executed processes.
The firm serves startups and scale-ups seeking to raise up to €5 million annually through equity crowdfunding while building engaged investor communities, established SMEs preparing for succession or implementing employee participation plans, and community-focused organizations using shared ownership to strengthen stakeholder relationships and finance values-aligned growth.
Crowdpowder's comprehensive service offering includes digital share management with secondary market infrastructure, Employee Stock Option Plans that align team incentives with company ambitions, equity crowdfunding campaigns that simultaneously raise capital and build ambassador networks, and succession planning that ensures business continuity and exit readiness.
The firm's methodology delivers measurable results: 75% higher talent attraction through equity participation, 50-75% improved employee retention, and access to €5 million in annual crowdfunding capacity. Their digital infrastructure provides 24/7 share management access with transparent portfolio tracking for both companies and investors.
Crowdpowder also operates a curated investor network, providing carefully selected investment opportunities in European companies they guide through financing processes. Network members receive early access to future rounds, portfolio management tools, and direct connection to founders and company progress beyond just financial metrics.
As a GECA member, Crowdpowder brings expertise in equity structuring, founder-friendly ownership models, and employee participation frameworks that demonstrate how equity crowdfunding can serve broader strategic purposes beyond capital formation - building engaged communities, retaining talent, and democratizing ownership while maintaining founder control.

Kwantor is a Dutch equity management platform that eliminates notary fees and administrative overhead in startup ownership through token-based digital securities, enabling founders to reward teams with real economic participation without diluting voting control.
Founded by Wouter Roozen, Merijn van Wouden, and Seif Kabil, Kwantor emerged from direct frustration with traditional Dutch equity structures. Under Dutch law, every transfer of registered shares in a BV requires a notarial deed costing €1,250+ per transaction. For startups managing crowdfunding investors, evolving founder splits, employee participation, or follow-on rounds, this creates extraordinary friction. STAK foundation structures avoid notary fees but introduce heavy governance overhead, annual reporting requirements, and limited flexibility.
Kwantor built a third option: participation rights that provide the same economic benefits as shares while operating entirely digitally through their platform Teller. Because these rights are governed by contract rather than share registry, transfers happen instantly without notary involvement while maintaining full legal protection through law-firm-vetted templates.
The Teller Platform
Teller operates through two core instruments: Profit Share Tokens (PST) providing direct economic participation in dividends and liquidation proceeds, and Option to PST Tokens (OPT) functioning like stock options but exercisable digitally without notary fees. Both preserve voting control entirely with founders while delivering real economic ownership.
Founders configure participation plans with customizable vesting schedules (standard 4-year or fully tailored), cliff periods, and leaver provisions. They onboard team members through digital invitations, creating assignment agreements that combine PST equity compensation, OPT option grants, cash compensation, milestone bonuses, and per-unit rewards. Each remuneration type supports independent vesting schedules with automated execution - no manual calculations, no spreadsheets.
Teller provides real-time cap tables showing all token holders, allocations, vesting progress, and current value. Team members log time and milestone progress directly on the platform. All transactions record on distributed ledger technology (Hedera mainnet for production), providing immutable audit trails and full transparency.
Digital signatures execute through multiple eIDAS-compliant options: Simple Electronic Signature (€0.99), Advanced Electronic Signature with itsme® verification (€6.93, recommended for equity agreements), Qualified Electronic Signature (€4.95), or external signing with upload.
Implementation & Pricing
Implementation requires one-time Articles of Association amendment. Kwantor provides model articles or connects founders with familiar notaries. Pricing operates pay-per-use with no setup fees—free Sandbox accounts for testing, Business plans for production.
Strategic Partnership
Kwantor's April 2026 partnership with Crowdpowder B.V. combines equity crowdfunding orchestration with post-raise infrastructure, addressing the hidden friction after rounds close: investor registries, ownership structuring, cap table maintenance.
Advantages
Versus stock options: no notary deeds for exercise/transfers, optional pre-exit tradability, voting rights preserved. Versus SAR: real equity participation in dividends and liquidation, not one-time bonuses. Versus STAK: no foundation entity, no maintenance fees, purely economic rights without governance overhead, real-time digital oversight.
As a GECA member, Kwantor demonstrates how distributed ledger systems eliminate legacy dependencies while maintaining compliance, reducing administrative burden that makes cross-border equity management complex.

Republic Europe is Europe's leading private investing platform, enabling individuals to invest in startups, growth companies, and—where eligible—leading funds, while supporting ambitious entrepreneurs across all sectors to raise capital from their communities, angels, and institutional investors.
Operating as the European arm of Republic—the global financial firm backed by Morgan Stanley, Valor Equity Partners, Galaxy Interactive, Hashed, AngelList, and other leading institutions—Republic Europe represents one of the most significant platforms in the global equity crowdfunding ecosystem. The parent company has deployed over $2.6 billion through investment platforms, funds, and firms within the Republic family, supporting a portfolio of 2,500+ companies and a community of 3 million members across 150+ countries.
Republic Europe emerged from the December 2021 acquisition of UK equity crowdfunding pioneer Seedrs for $100 million, marking Republic's strategic expansion into European markets. Republic founder Kendrick Nguyen stated at the time that international expansion was necessary to achieve cross-border participation—a vision closely aligned with GECA's mission. Seedrs, founded in 2009, had already established itself as one of Europe's most active equity crowdfunding platforms before the acquisition combined its European deal flow with Republic's global infrastructure.
Regulatory Compliance & Operations
Republic Europe operates through two regulated entities: Seedrs Ltd (trading as Republic Europe) authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and Seedrs Europe Limited (trading as Republic Europe) regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI). This dual-regulatory structure enables Republic Europe to serve both UK retail investors post-Brexit and EU investors under the ECSPR framework—a critical advantage for cross-border European campaigns.
The platform's headquarters operates from London (Office 206, Cubo Soho, Ilona Rose House), with the parent Republic group maintaining operations across the US, UK, EU, UAE, South Korea, and Singapore. Republic Europe employs over 50 specialists across investment, compliance, technology, and community functions.
The Republic Ecosystem
Republic positions itself as an ecosystem of Web3-optimised financial services built on compliant investment infrastructure designed to support micro-transactions at global scale. The platform pioneered the use of Crowd SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) instruments to democratize early-stage investment, with minimums often as low as €10-€100. This accessibility model has made private equity participation possible for everyday retail investors who would previously have been excluded from venture-stage opportunities.
Beyond traditional equity crowdfunding, Republic has expanded into tokenized securities, real estate investment, crypto/Web3 token offerings, and specialized verticals through strategic acquisitions including Fig (video game crowdfunding), NextSeed (local crowdfunding), and GoldenChain (the digital asset arm of GoldenTree Asset Management, acquired April 2024). The platform's emphasis on tokenization positions it at the forefront of opening new asset classes and expanding investor liquidity.
Investment Categories
Republic Europe facilitates investments across multiple categories: early-stage startups across diverse sectors (technology, fintech, biotech, consumer brands), growth-stage companies seeking scale capital, fund investments for eligible investors, and tokenized securities leveraging blockchain infrastructure. The platform connects entrepreneurs with both retail investors and institutional capital, creating hybrid funding rounds that combine community engagement with professional investor due diligence.
As a GECA member, Republic Europe brings unparalleled scale, regulatory sophistication across multiple jurisdictions, and proven cross-border infrastructure to the alliance. Their experience operating under FCA, CBI, and US regulatory frameworks—combined with their tokenization leadership and Web3 infrastructure—provides invaluable insight as GECA convenes the global community advancing equity crowdfunding's evolution. Their commitment to international expansion and cross-border participation aligns directly with GECA's mission to build the worldwide exchange of ideas, best practice, and coordinated action for the industry.

klimja is an Austrian climate protection crowdfunding platform enabling retail investors in Austria and Germany to invest in renewable energy projects through a three-returns model: financial (repayment plus interest), social (SDG achievement), and ecological (CO2 reduction).
Founded in 2015 as Crowd4Climate and rebranded to klimja in 2024, the platform emerged from collaboration between the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology (ÖGUT) and Energy Changes Projektentwicklung GmbH. The timing aligned with Austria and Germany establishing legal frameworks for crowdinvesting through the Alternative Financing Act and Small Investor Protection Act amendments.
klimja addresses a fundamental disconnect: retail investors want climate solutions but lack access to verified, transparent opportunities with proper due diligence. The platform bridges this gap through four-stage project review: suitability testing (positive impact, no fossil fuels/nuclear/factory farming, proven business model), internal due diligence (economic, ecological, social, technical examination), external examination (BaFin/auditor review of legal documents), and ongoing monitoring with regular impact reporting.
In 2023, klimja formalized its social enterprise structure and achieved VSE certification. An Impact Advisory Board including representatives from ÖGUT, Ashoka Austria, Fridays For Future, and academia ensures continuous impact optimization beyond financial metrics.
Since 2015, klimja has facilitated €9.8M in investments across 35 projects from 2,568 investors. Projects generated 14,567 MWh renewable electricity, saved 11,101 tons CO2, and positively impacted 32,044 lives through clean energy access, job creation, and economic development. Minimum investment starts at €250 with typical returns between 3-8.5% annually.
The platform also operates the klimja Investment Academy -free courses democratizing sustainable investing knowledge for retail investors.
As a GECA supporter, klimja demonstrates how platforms can serve environmental missions while maintaining financial discipline and investor protection. Their three-returns framework, Impact Advisory Board governance, and transparent measurement provide replicable models for mission-driven platforms globally.

The Energy Exchange Company (EEX) is an early-stage clean-energy venture based in Uganda, founded by solar engineers to widen access to energy and energy financing across East Africa.
Headquartered in Uganda and led by a technical founding team with deep roots in the region's solar sector, EEX is being built to connect everyday participants with clean-energy opportunity in one of the world's fastest-growing and most underserved energy markets.
What They Do:
The Energy Exchange Company is building a platform to close the gap between East Africa's clean-energy potential and the capital needed to realise it. The region has abundant renewable resources and fast-growing demand, yet millions remain underserved and viable solar projects struggle to find funding. EEX is being built to connect that opportunity with the people and capital that can fund it.
Founded by engineers who have spent their careers designing and deploying solar systems on the ground, EEX brings practical, real-world delivery experience to the challenge — not just financing clean energy, but understanding how it is built, sized, and made to work in East African conditions. That combination of engineering credibility and access-driven mission positions EEX to bring transparent, locally rooted clean-energy opportunities to a wider community of participants.
Leadership:
Joshua Kwiringira — Co-Founder, CEO & CTO Joshua is an electrical and electronics engineer trained at Makerere University, with a hands-on career across East Africa's solar industry. He has held engineering and project roles at established clean-energy companies including SolarNow, Blue Crane Communications, and GRIPS Energy, and founded the solar venture TSG Energy. His combination of technical depth and on-the-ground delivery experience anchors EEX's product and engineering direction.
The GECA Connection:
EEX broadens GECA's reach into East Africa, a region where access to energy and to the capital that funds it remains a defining development challenge. Uganda and its neighbours sit at the frontier of the clean-energy transition: strong renewable potential, fast-growing demand, and a persistent financing gap between viable projects and the investors who could back them.
This is exactly the kind of borderless opportunity GECA exists to support — connecting capital with impact across jurisdictions, and bringing emerging-market clean-energy ventures into a global crowdfunding network. As GECA works toward cross-border coordination, having builders on the ground in East Africa strengthens the alliance's geographic breadth and its mission to democratise access to investment worldwide.

Highlander is a US-based modern financial infrastructure platform for private capital markets, positioning itself as "the operating system for private capital, from raise to ownership management." The platform powers capital formation, investor onboarding, ownership management, and ongoing private-market operations through a single unified system.
Originally launched in 2019 as PicMii Crowdfunding - an SEC/FINRA-registered Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) funding portal - the platform consolidated its full-stack offering and rebranded as Highlander in 2026. PicMii Crowdfunding, LLC remains the legal funding-portal entity, operating as "d/b/a Highlander Crowdfunding."
Operating as a SEC-registered, FINRA-member funding portal (SEC File No. 7-246), Highlander serves US-based issuers (LLCs and C-Corps) and US investors. Under Regulation Crowdfunding, issuers can raise up to $5 million per 12-month period, with investment minimums typically starting at $100-$500 -making private equity participation accessible to retail investors historically excluded from venture-stage opportunities. The platform has built its base to over 33,000 registered investors.
Headquartered in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Highlander is led by co-founders Chandler Kline (Co-Founder & Co-CEO) and Braden Kline (Co-Founder & Co-CEO), with board members Mike Carter and Michael Sanchez providing governance.

Supported instruments include equity, SAFEs, convertible notes, and debt.
Strategic partnerships include Stripe (payments), Plaid (KYC/investor onboarding), Kingscrowd (analytics), Maxim Group LLC, Luminate Bank, EMG.AI, FounderStudio, and many others - creating a robust infrastructure network supporting US Reg CF operations.
Highlander's mission - "Break down barriers in fundraising and investing, so more bold ideas get built, and more people get to be part of the journey" - reflects core values of Transparency, Innovation, and Empowerment, democratizing access to early-stage opportunities historically reserved for accredited capital.
As a GECA member, Highlander brings deep expertise in the US Regulation Crowdfunding framework - the world's most established retail private capital market - along with end-to-end infrastructure thinking that mirrors the full-stack thesis GECA members champion globally. PROFITUS is a Lithuanian real estate crowdfunding platform that enables individuals to invest in real estate-backed loans from as little as €100, while providing fast and efficient business financing for real estate developers and entrepreneurs across the Baltic region and beyond.
Founded with the mission of democratizing access to real estate investment, PROFITUS emerged from observations that ordinary people increasingly wanted to invest in tangible assets that hedge against inflation, but were locked out by the significant capital required for direct property purchases. The platform connects retail investors seeking simple, reliable real estate-backed investments with developers and businesses seeking faster financing alternatives to traditional banks.
PROFITUS operates under European Crowdfunding Service Provider Regulation (ECSPR), with payment processing handled by Lemonway (licensed by the French ACPR) and KYC/identity verification through Ondato. This regulatory and infrastructure foundation enables PROFITUS to serve investors across the EU while maintaining rigorous compliance standards. The platform supports multiple jurisdictions including Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Spain - reflecting an active cross-border expansion strategy.
Investment Categories & Scale
The platform facilitates investment across four core categories: real estate development projects (construction, renovation, infrastructure), business loans secured by real estate (operational capital and refinancing), real estate rental projects (acquisition for rental income), and bridge loans (short-term financing until long-term credit is secured). All investments are secured by first or secondary rank mortgages, with risk ratings (A+ to lower grades) and LTV indicators transparently displayed for every project.
PROFITUS has built impressive scale: €383+ million crowd-funded, 54,137-strong investor community, €25.4M+ earned by investors, and an average annual return of 9.87%. Investment minimums start at €100, with typical project terms of 12-18 months and interest rates ranging from 8-10% annually.
Leadership & Team
Led by CEO Viktorija Čijunskytė, the PROFITUS leadership team includes Monika Petrulevičienė (COO and CTO), Arnoldas Antanavičius (Business Development Manager for Latvian and Estonian markets), Miglė Grybinienė (CMO), Sergio Aragón Sánchez (Country Lead, Spain), Aurimas Satkūnas (Investor Relations Manager), Justas Paliukėnas (Head of Investor Communication & Project Quality), Žiedūnė Pranytė (Finance & Loan Administration Team Lead), Edvinas Kašėta (Head of Legal), and Rokas Rakauskas (Head of Sales).
Strategic Partnerships & Innovation
PROFITUS continues expanding beyond core crowdfunding: April 2026 saw a strategic partnership with Axiology launching bond distribution capabilities, while successful execution of bond issues (notably UAB "Gesons" exceeding placement expectations by 38%) demonstrates evolution into broader capital markets infrastructure. The platform's recent launches include an updated Investment Calculator and Investors' Club starting at €125,000 for higher-net-worth participants.
The GECA Connection
As a GECA member, PROFITUS brings deep expertise in real estate-backed crowdfunding - one of the most mature verticals in European retail private capital markets. Their multi-jurisdictional operations across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Spain provide valuable insight into how ECSPR enables practical cross-border crowdfunding when supported by strong infrastructure and local market knowledge. Their evolution from real estate crowdfunding into bond distribution and broader capital markets services illustrates the platform-maturation pathway many GECA members are exploring globally.

Mamacrowd is Italy's leading equity crowdfunding platform by capital raised, enabling retail investors to invest fully online in innovative startups, SMEs, and real estate projects, while giving Italian companies streamlined access to growth capital from a community of more than 215,000 registered investors.
Launched in 2016, Mamacrowd has been Italy's number one equity crowdfunding platform for capital raised since 2017, and between 2021 and 2024 raised more capital than any other Italian platform. As of early 2025, the platform had facilitated more than €346 million across 320+ funded projects. In 2024 alone, Mamacrowd raised €41 million across 42 campaigns, capturing roughly 63% of Italy's startup equity crowdfunding market by capital raised, and hosted two of Europe's top five equity crowdfunding campaigns of the year, including craft brewery Baladin's €5 million raise from over 2,000 investors.
Since January 2022, Mamacrowd has been part of the Azimut Group, one of Europe's leading independent asset managers. Azimut's backing provides institutional credibility, additional resources, and co-investment opportunities, including the ALIcrowd venture funds dedicated to co-investing in Mamacrowd campaigns, a distinctive model that bridges retail crowdfunding with professional asset management.
Mamacrowd operates under the European Crowdfunding Service Providers Regulation (ECSPR), authorised by CONSOB resolution No. 22876 of 8 November 2023, and was among the platforms to transition smoothly to the new EU licensing regime. Investors benefit from Italy's generous tax incentives, including tax deductions of approximately 30% for eligible startup investments.
The platform emphasises rigorous project selection: an internal analyst team vets applicant companies across product feasibility, market size, competitive advantage, team capability, and traction, with many campaigns arriving through Italy's leading incubator networks or featuring professional co-investors. Beyond startups and SMEs, Mamacrowd has hosted real estate campaigns since 2020 and in 2025 launched Italy's first income-generating real estate crowdfunding product, opening a traditionally professional asset class to retail investors. The platform has also laid groundwork for future secondary liquidity through dematerialised shares and Issuer Agent status with Italy's central securities depository.
As a GECA member, Mamacrowd brings the perspective of Europe's most successful national equity crowdfunding market leader, deep expertise in ECSPR implementation, and a proven model for integrating retail crowdfunding with institutional asset management. Their experience scaling under the EU framework, alongside insight into Italian tax incentive structures, adds significant weight to GECA's global exchange of best practice.

CrowdInform is an AI-driven crowdfunding and alternative investment information platform that helps everyday investors discover, compare, and evaluate investment opportunities across Europe, bringing together more than 500 platforms and hundreds of active projects, updated daily, in one place.
Founded in Estonia and launched in early 2022, CrowdInform was built on a simple conviction: crowdfunding and fractional investing open the door to investments once reserved for the wealthy, but investors need transparent, independent information to navigate them well. Co-founder and CEO Jevgenijs Sokolovs, whose background spans fintech development and financial services client experience, describes the mission plainly as "making crowdfunding mainstream in Europe."
The platform covers the full breadth of European alternative investing: real estate crowdfunding, equity crowdfunding for startups, SME lending, renewable energy projects, peer-to-peer consumer loans, loan securities, business invoice trading, agriculture, and fractional collectables. For each category, CrowdInform provides plain-language education on how the model works, what returns are typical, and crucially, what the risks are.
Independent Reviews, Ratings, and AI Analysis
CrowdInform's core offering is its extensive library of platform reviews, user ratings, performance statistics, and AI-powered analysis covering hundreds of European crowdfunding platforms. Its AI algorithms analyse thousands of data points across platforms and projects to identify trends, assess risk factors, and surface opportunities matched to investor criteria. The platform is refreshingly honest about technology's limits, telling users directly: "AI is an assistant, not an advisor. Always conduct your own research."
Beyond comparison tools, CrowdInform produces ongoing investor education and industry journalism: step-by-step investing guides, platform selection frameworks, expert interview series, and analysis of regulatory developments across European markets, such as Italy's landmark extension of its SME Guarantee Fund to crowdfunding investors. The platform also aggregates bonuses and loyalty programmes across platforms, giving retail investors practical value alongside education.
The GECA Connection
As a GECA member, CrowdInform brings a distinctive and important perspective: the independent investor information layer. GECA champions investor education, transparency, and trust as foundations for the industry's growth, and CrowdInform operates at exactly that intersection, helping retail investors make informed decisions while giving quality platforms visibility across borders. Their pan-European market view, spanning 500+ platforms across every crowdfunding vertical, adds valuable intelligence to GECA's global exchange on what investors actually need to participate with confidence.

Silicon Prairie Holdings is one of the true pioneers of US investment crowdfunding, bringing regulated capital formation to America's heartland under a philosophy captured perfectly in its tagline: "Where Good Ideas Grow."
Founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2016 by technologist and CEO David V. Duccini, Silicon Prairie became the second crowdfunding portal ever registered under Minnesota's MNvest intrastate exemption, later expanding to Wisconsin and Iowa, and operating nationally as a FINRA-registered Regulation Crowdfunding portal under the Silicon Prairie Online brand. With investment minimums as low as $25, the platform has opened startup and growth-stage investing to everyday investors across the American Midwest and beyond, a region of entrepreneurial talent long underserved by coastal venture capital.
Today Silicon Prairie operates as a full-stack capital formation group. In early 2025, the company consolidated its crowdfunding activity under Silicon Prairie Capital Partners, its SEC/FINRA broker-dealer, a structure that allows issuers to run Regulation Crowdfunding, Regulation D, and institutional raises through a single regulated intermediary. Alongside it sits Silicon Prairie Registrar & Transfer, an SEC-registered transfer agent led by President Jade Barker, and a white-label fundraising platform licensed to other firms across the securities crowdfunding sector.
What distinguishes Silicon Prairie technically is its early and practical use of blockchain: putting issuers and shareholders on their own private ledgers to facilitate issuance, official stakeholder communications, shareholder voting, and eventual liquidity through a peer-to-peer exchange model. It is infrastructure thinking that anticipated questions the global industry is only now confronting at scale.
Beyond the platform, David Duccini is a respected voice in US crowdfunding policy, contributing SEC comment letters on intrastate secondary trading, engaging publicly on regulatory reform, and hosting regular industry webinars that have made Silicon Prairie a connector across the American crowdfunding community.
As a GECA member, Silicon Prairie brings perspectives found nowhere else in the alliance: deep expertise in US intrastate and community capital formation, hard-won insight into regulatory structure choices between funding portals and broker-dealers, transfer agency operations, and practical blockchain infrastructure for private securities. For a global community comparing how different regimes enable capital to reach deserving businesses, the view from the American prairie is an invaluable one.

Kingscrowd Europe is building the independent intelligence layer that European regulated crowdfunding has been missing. Launched in 2026, it's a joint venture between two forces already known to the GECA community: Kingscrowd, the leading US private market analytics platform trusted by 100,000+ investors, and Over Ventures, Europe's pioneering crowdfunding studio. Together they've created something new for Europe: analyst-scored ratings, deal intelligence and cross-platform portfolio tools that let retail and angel investors make decisions they can defend. It marks Kingscrowd's first expansion outside the United States, with Over Ventures leading operations in Europe.
The problem it solves is one every European investor knows. While equity crowdfunding has democratised access to early-stage deals, the European landscape remains highly fragmented: disparate reporting standards, opaque platform data, and no centralised performance metrics. Conducting genuine due diligence is a manual, high-friction process. Kingscrowd Europe aggregates that fragmented data into one independent, comparative view, so investors can move beyond the marketing pitch and base decisions on objective evidence.
What distinguishes the approach is its grounding in regulation rather than promotion. Under ECSPR (Regulation (EU) 2020/1503), every issuer raising on an authorised European platform must publish a Key Investment Information Sheet, with a PRIIPs Key Information Document required for many retail offerings. Kingscrowd Europe's analysts start from those legally required filings, not the pitch deck: reconciling use of proceeds against stated milestones, extracting cost, risk and valuation disclosures, and pressure-testing cap tables against comparable European raises. Every raise is then scored on a consistent framework across market, team, product, financials and terms, so investors can compare deals like-for-like.
The venture builds on Over Ventures' European Community Capital Landscape, the pan-European market intelligence initiative, and on Kingscrowd's eight years and 10,800+ tracked raises in the US. The core offering spans independent ratings, deal intelligence with risk flags and analyst reports before rounds close, and a unified dashboard tracking holdings across every European platform. Kingscrowd Europe goes live in Q4 2026, with a waitlist open now.
As a GECA member, Kingscrowd Europe brings something the alliance values highly: the independent investor-intelligence perspective, built on regulatory transparency and cross-border comparability. In an industry where trust and investor protection underpin growth, an independent layer that helps European investors participate with confidence, and helps quality raises stand out, strengthens the whole ecosystem. Their pan-European, ECSPR-grounded view adds real depth to GECA's global exchange.

EMAINVEST, S.A is an Angolan investment platform, based in Luanda, built to connect small and medium-sized businesses with everyday investors. Through its IPO platform, Angolan companies can present an offer to the public and raise capital directly online -
an alternative route in a market where bank credit has historically been out of reach for smaller businesses, and where retail participation in company ownership has been limited to a narrow group.
The company is led by CEO Emanuel Falcão and COO Paxote Gunza, and has taken a notably open approach to a market that is only now being formalised. Angola has had no legal regime for collaborative finance, so no platform has been able to hold a crowdfunding licence. EMAINVEST applied to the Capital Market Commission (CMC) for registration in October 2022 and was advised that the regulator had no power to register crowdfunding platforms until a law was in force. EMAINVEST publishes that correspondence, and the CMC's public guidance to investors, openly on its own site.
That position is now changing: in April 2026 Angola's National Assembly approved the proposed Legal Regime for Collaborative Finance unanimously at first reading, opening the way to the country's first crowdfunding framework.
EMAINVEST is exactly the kind of operator GECA exists to support - an early-stage team building investment infrastructure in a frontier market, engaging its regulator ahead of
the rules rather than waiting to be found. As Angola's framework moves through parliament, the platform's experience will be valuable to GECA members watching how new markets open, and GECA's global network of platforms, associations and regulatory specialists gives EMAINVEST access to the standards and practice its market is about
to formalise.

Crowdster is a European real estate crowdlending platform, operated by Crowdlending Europe AB from Malmö, Sweden. The platform connects private investors with property developers who need flexible project finance, giving investors access to secured, asset-backed lending opportunities that have historically sat with banks and institutions, and giving developers a faster route to capital than traditional construction lending allows.
Crowdster holds a European Crowdfunding Service Provider (ECSP) authorisation, granted by Sweden's Finansinspektionen in December 2025 and passported into Denmark in June 2026. That places the platform inside the harmonised EU framework, under direct supervision, with the investor protections the regulation requires. Every project is put through a structured screening process covering financial viability, developer track record, collateral, exit strategy and risk exposure, with a published A to E risk classification, and no project reaches the platform until the internal Credit Committee has approved it.
Behind the brand sits an experienced Nordic team. Founder Thomas Rolin is joined by CEO Gorm Ejmefors-Bjørkmann, who brings more than twenty years in leading Nordic banks including Handelsbanken and Nordea, in property finance, credit analysis and risk. The board is chaired by Thomas Liljeton, with Milad Gholami bringing a decade of banking and crowdlending experience, and Senior Project Director Joakim Hemgren adding twenty years of residential development across Sweden and Spain.
The company's ambitions are firmly European. Crowdster is being developed as a franchise concept, with first franchise operations planned for Denmark, Spain and Portugal, and the team is working on introducing stablecoin payments to the platform as a route to reaching investors well beyond Europe. Both plans speak directly to the problem GECA exists to solve. As one of the newer platforms authorised under ECSPR, and one already exercising its cross-border passport, Crowdster brings valuable current experience of how the European regime works in practice - and joins a network of platforms, associations and regulatory specialists working to make capital move across borders as easily as it moves within them.

Lemonway is a pan-European payment institution that provides the financial plumbing behind crowdfunding platforms and online marketplaces. Founded in Paris in 2007, the company handles the part of the process investors rarely see and platforms cannot operate without: collecting funds, verifying identities, holding money in segregated payment accounts, and paying out to fundraisers, all through a modular API that platforms build directly into their own product.
For crowdfunding specifically, Lemonway supports crowdlending, crowdequity and donation models, covering pay-in across multiple payment methods, KYC and onboarding for both investors and project owners, wallet management, and pay-out. It's an unglamorous but decisive layer of the industry. Handling third-party funds is a regulated activity across Europe, and platforms that want to raise capital compliantly need an authorised partner to do it. Lemonway is authorised by France's Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution as a payment institution, holding a European passport that lets it serve platforms across the EU.
The company reports handling €12.4 billion in flows and 20.3 million transactions during 2025, across 1.4 million payment accounts, and says around 1,200 merchants and platforms have used its services since 2007. Its crowdfunding clients include established European platforms in property, energy and private markets. In 2025 it expanded its e-commerce capability by taking over PayGreen's activities.
Lemonway joins GECA as an ecosystem member, and the perspective is a useful one for the alliance. Payment institutions sit at the point where crowdfunding regulation meets operational reality - where KYC rules, fund segregation requirements and cross-border capital movement stop being policy and start being code. As GECA works to make capital move across borders as easily as it moves within them, the infrastructure layer matters as much as the platform layer.

Pesewa Rising Ltd is building funding infrastructure for Ghana's small and medium-sized businesses. The company is licensed by Ghana's Securities and Exchange Commission as both a Crowdfunding Intermediary and a Crowdfunding Platform, operating under the Securities Industry (Crowdfunding) Guidelines 2024 - the framework that opened investment-based crowdfunding in Ghana for the first time.
The platform connects Ghanaian SMEs and real estate developers seeking growth capital with individual and institutional investors, across equity, debt, revenue-share and fractional real estate ownership. Every opportunity listed goes through structured due diligence before it reaches investors, and investor funds are held in segregated escrow accounts at all times. It is a deliberately broad offer for a market where growth capital for smaller businesses has long been scarce, slow and expensive, and where the alternative for most founders has been bank lending on terms that make expansion difficult.
Pesewa Rising is founded by Arnold Parker, formerly Chief Executive of Letshego Ghana and a well-known figure in Ghanaian financial services, working alongside Executive Director Elom Anang. Their approach reflects that background: build the regulated infrastructure first, then bring businesses and investors onto it.
Ghana's crowdfunding regime is among Africa's newest, introduced in March 2024 with support from the UN Capital Development Fund, and the operators licensed under it are helping establish how it works in practice. That makes Pesewa Rising a valuable voice in the alliance. GECA exists to help capital move across borders as easily as it moves within them, and West Africa is one of the places where that ambition matters most. As the company puts it: together we grow.

Snowball.mx is a Mexican crowdequity platform connecting growing companies with everyday investors. Businesses raise capital by issuing real equity, and investors become shareholders in operating Mexican companies rather than backers of a project. Operated by SFC Snowball Community, S.A. de C.V., the platform works across startups, established SMEs, financial services and property.
Snowball is authorised by Mexico's Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores as an Institución de Financiamiento Colectivo under the Ley Fintech, the country's 2018 framework for financial technology institutions. Authorisation was granted in July 2021 and published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación, and the company is supervised by both the CNBV and Banco de México. Mexico's regime is one of the more demanding in the region, and the number of fully authorised equity crowdfunding institutions
remains small.
What sets Snowball apart is what happens after the raise. The platform runs its own private secondary market, allowing investors to trade their holdings rather than wait indefinitely for an exit. Shares are issued as ODIs, standardised digital investment units priced from as little as eighteen pesos for startup offerings, which puts genuine equity ownership within reach of ordinary investors. The company also publishes track record reports on companies it has funded, following them through growth, difficulty and exit.
Snowball is led by founder and CEO Salvador Vidal Holguín Flores, who also chairs the Business and Financing commission of COPARMEX Mexico City, giving the platform a direct voice in Mexican business policy. That combination of regulated operation, secondary market liquidity and policy engagement makes Snowball a valuable member of the alliance. Latin America is one of the most important frontiers for equity crowdfunding, and GECA exists to help capital move across borders as easily as it moves within them.

AgriPath is a Ghanaian agricultural company making African farmland investable, financeable and commercially reliable. Founded in Accra in 2024, it connects the pieces that usually sit apart in African agriculture - demand, production, market access, capital and offtake - into structured projects that work for farmers and buyers alike.
The company’s approach starts with the market and works backwards. Rather than beginning with acreage and hoping for buyers, AgriPath identifies credible commercial demand, structures the economics and the risk around it, organises production and supply to meet it, and supports execution through to offtake and settlement. It is a deceptively simple inversion, and one that addresses the problem that has defeated a great many African agribusinesses: a buyer does not need five hundred farmers, they need fifty tonnes of the right product, at the right quality, at the right time.
In practice that means an outgrower programme with partner farmers across Accra, Akuse, Afram Plains and Bolgatanga, cultivating staple and high-value crops including maize, cassava, sweet potato, tomatoes, chilli, okro and peppers, supported by factory offtake arrangements. AgriPath works across production, aggregation, market access, project structuring, agricultural finance, infrastructure and technology, with real-time project tracking for the partners and backers it works with.
AgriPath is led by founder and CEO Michael Farid Conway, working with Investment Manager George Arthur. Agriculture employs more Ghanaians than any other sector, yet remains chronically underfunded, and the gap between smallholder production and commercial-scale supply is where most value is lost. Building the systems that close that gap is exactly the kind of work GECA exists to support, and a West African voice in the alliance matters as the continent’s investment frameworks take shape.

Founded: 2024
Operations: Accra, Akuse, Afram Plains and Bolgatanga
Specialties: Farm management services, outgrower partnerships, agribusiness solutions, sustainable agriculture, agri-tech and data-driven farming

Goparity is a European impact investment platform connecting everyday investors with businesses and projects working on sustainability. Founded in Lisbon in 2017, it lets people invest from as little as twenty euros into clean energy, regenerative agriculture, ocean protection, circular economy and social impact projects, choosing exactly where their money goes and following the real-world results afterwards.
The platform operates under a dual authorisation that reflects an unusual structure. Loan-based crowdfunding is provided by Power Parity, S.A., trading as Goparity, authorised and supervised by Portugal’s Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários under the European Crowdfunding Service Providers Regulation. Equity-based crowdfunding is provided by Bolsa Social, S.L., a wholly owned subsidiary acquired in January 2026, authorised and supervised by Spain’s Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores under the same regulation. Bolsa Social was the first impact crowdfunding platform in Spain to be authorised by the CNMV, and the acquisition marked Goparity’s entry into equity alongside its established lending business.
To date the community has financed more than 63 million euros across over 260 companies, with upwards of 65,000 members. Every opportunity is assessed against both financial resilience and impact criteria, using a framework developed with UNDP AltFinLab, and results are reported back project by project. The platform is a certified B Corporation, publishes a default report covering its loan book, and its own team invests personally through the platform on the same terms as everyone else.
Goparity is led by co-founder and CEO Nuno Brito Jorge. The platform’s reach now spans Portugal, Spain and projects across five continents, and its structure makes it a genuinely instructive member for the alliance. Operating both crowdlending and crowdequity, under two national regulators, within one harmonised European framework, is exactly the cross-border model GECA exists to advance. As Europe’s crowdfunding market consolidates under ECSPR, Goparity’s experience of acquiring and integrating an authorised platform in another member state is a perspective few can offer.
